November 23 - MJ hits the top of the charts with "Black or White"

On this day in 1991, the King of Pop hit the top of the charts in both the UK and the United States with his smash hit, "Black or White". The song was the first single of Jackson's 1991 album "Dangerous" and featured then Guns N Roses guitarist Slash. The song was a huge success as it went to the peak position in 20 different countries and reached platinum status in Australia, New Zealand, and the United States.

"Black or White" was the 2nd best selling single of 1991, even though it was released towards the end of the year. The album "Dangerous" was Jackson's fastest selling album as it sold seven million copies in just under 2 months. The CD had several singles including "Remember the Time", "Jam", and "Heal the World", to go along with the lead single "Black or White".

In less than a month's time, Jackson will have another album hit the shelves as his posthumous album "Michael" will be his first album release since 2001.
