November 25 - The New Kids On The Block arrive on the music scene

On this day 22 years ago, the New Kids on the Block hit the top of the charts for the first time with their hit single "You Got It (The Right Stuff)". This song would kick start the boy band's successful music career as they would go on to record three more number 1 singles and attain a huge cult following through the late 80's and early 90's.

"You Got It (The Right Stuff)" was the first single of the off the 1988 album "Hangin' Tough". The album featured several other singles including "Hangin' Tough", "Cover Girl", and "I'll Be Lovin' You Forever". The CD would accumulate three #1 singles and sell 16 million copies worldwide. By the end of 1989, the album would be the #1 selling album in America.

The New Kids are currently on tour with The Backstreet Boys and will be in Vancouver during the summer of 2011.
