November 9 - "The Rocket" wins his 7th Cy Young Award

On this day, just six years ago, Roger Clemens won his MLB record 7th Cy Young Award as the top pitcher in baseball. Clemens won his 7th Cy Young Award as a member of the Houston Astros, where he posted a record of 18 wins and just 4 losses. "The Rocket" would win the award with every team he played for, including twice with the Toronto Blue Jays.

Since his retirement, Clemens has been surrounded in controversy regarding Performance Enhancing Drugs. Clemens is currently being indicted by a federal grand jury for amongst other things, two counts of perjury. Not the best news for the baseball legend, but for those who believe, Clemens remains one of the greatest pitchers to ever step on the mound.
